Key user & Systems owner Smart Construction

The Key user & Systems owner Smart Construction is member of the agile team of Smart Construction, accountable   for the product build and continuous improvements once in production.  responsible for the implementation of Smart Construction software packages into the EU market and provide feedback to the development team. As key user & systems owner he is responsible for the “what” (functional requirements) – not the “how” (technical design/solution). The Key user & Systems owner Smart Construction has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept that a project is completed. He will take care of the customer/ partner requests related to API and data made available on the Landlog platform. He also assists in integration and acceptance testing, supports the development of training and implementation material, leads the implementation and provides second line post-implementation support.  He provides technical and professional guidance to the “Smart Construction Advisory Expert” and where required by the (local) situation do so in a “person  management” role.

Area’s of responsibility:

  • Proposes improvements to current practices/processes and their related (ICT) systems.
  • Describes what the system, process or service must do in order to fulfil the business requirements (functional requirements)
  • As a project sponsor he will provide necessary documents to the stakeholder, in cooperation with the Smart Construction Product Manager.  Creates a traceability matrix for matching high level concepts to scope items and keeps track of changes in scope during the life of the project
  • Ensures that implementation (transition) requirements are described and that capabilities and/or behaviours required to enable transition from current state to desired future state are available/present.
  • Provide technical and professional guidance to the “Smart Construction Advisory expert” and where required by the (local) situation do so in a “person  management” role.
  • Within the systems development life cycle (SDLC) takes up the role of key user
  • Set-up, execute and follow-up testing of new software releases together with Smart Construction partners, EUICT and customers.
  • Provides second line post-implementation support to the stakeholders and supporting roles for ICT related matters. (service desk engineers, software engineers, system engineers)

Your Profile

  • Engineer with affinity for ICT or professional bachelor in information technology with high interest in engineering.
  • Project management & software development methodologies (ex. Prince2, SCRUM…), business process management methodologies and related methodologies (TQM, Lean, SIX SIGMA …), user experience (UX)
  • Complex problem solving, critical thinking, judgment and decision making, coordination & negotiation, mathematics & statistics, information ordering, inductive & deductive reasoning
  • Open-minded, constructive, initiative, pro-active, independent & autonomous, service orientation, active learning
    English (fluent in speaking, reading and writing). Knowledge of German and/ or French is of added value.
  • Estimation of minimal experience needed: 1 year  in a similar position
