Service Coordination Manager

Currently there are almost 300 people working at the Komatsu Europe Headquarters and Parts distribution center in Vilvoorde (Belgium): technical experts, sales profiles, logistic and administrative staff, etc. These people come from wide-ranging backgrounds and jobs, and share common characteristics such as perseverance, commitment, analytical skills, efficiency and trustworthiness: the very image of Komatsu machines.

Service Coordination Manager

Areas of responsibility:

The Service Coordination Manager is involved in quality of machine warranty handling being responsible for a European team of which the activities performed will have an impact on all Komatsu entities. By providing well informed and detailed presentations/reports in the domain of warranty claim data on all European entities to the senior management,, unjustified costs are avoided, customer satisfaction is maximized and sales units are supported. The calculation of Forecast completion ratios for all entities to reflect distributors response on mandatory factory Quality improvements is part of the role as well. 

Creation and coordination of mandatory Field Campaigns on Komatsu products take up a large portion of the role. This to ensure quick and accurate implementation of Factory Quality Improvements by Komatsu distributors. Additionally, Standby Parts Stock control for imported machines out of Europe is managed as well by organizing incoming/ougoing shipments in cooperation with plants, area service managers and logistic partners.

The Service Coordination manager communicates as first line support to all warranty program users on all products, providing solutions and proposing requirements for system improvements to solve problems whilst being a key user of the system for worldwide machine tracking and claim data information. For large fleets, the service coordination manager assists in improving this support through daily maintenance & customer registration, resulting in parts sales. Close communication with Komatsu Ltd. Japan is part of this role as well.

Profile:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a coordinating role, being responsible of a team
  • Good understanding of all Service, Warranty and Quality principles and concepts 
  • Basic technical knowledge and interest for IT warranty related systems
  • Good English language skills, Basic French & German language skills are an asset
  • Analytical mindset, master in coordination and setting priorities, being able to professionally communicate in and setting directions to the team in a clear way.
