Wholesale Credit Supervisor

Komatsu is the 2nd largest worldwide manufacturer of construction, mining  and utility equipment, and also delivers forest machines and logistics. 

Currently there are almost 300 people working at the Komatsu Europe Headquarters and Parts distribution center in Vilvoorde (Belgium): technical experts, sales profiles, logistic and administrative staff, etc. These people come from wide-ranging backgrounds and jobs, and share common characteristics such as perseverance, commitment, analytical skills, efficiency and trustworthiness: the very image of Komatsu machines.

At the moment we are looking for a Risk Analyst/Wholesale Credit Supervisor to reinforce the Credit Department.  

Wholesale Credit Supervisor 

The Wholesale Credit Supervisor is responsible for:

Risk Management:

  • Make sure that sales are made within available risk coverage and in compliance with European credit risk policy
  • Monitor risk exposure and initiate stop shipment if there is no acceptable risk coverage
  • Monitor availability, validity of credit securities versus outstanding receivables
  • Work out + propose risk solution coverage to Distributors, insurance companies/banks 
    Inform sales organization on credit availability, risk coverage options and acceptability of customer’s proposals in order to allow them to implement and provide necessary data and documentation
  • Management of credit insurance policies: monitor insured sales are performed within policy terms, handle daily communication with the credit insurers, monthly reporting to insurers and prepare renewal
  • Letters of credit: review content in terms of correctness and feasibility, review documentation compliance with terms and conditions, follow up payment confirmation from banks
  • Follow-up credit risk in the warehouse in order to prevent shortages, limit overdraft and overdue. Propose corrective actions to customers (additional coverage, advance settlements, stoppage of deliveries …) and communicate with internal related departments 
  • Prepare and maintain forecast of credit risk coverage requirements based on planned sales, propose counter actions, and discuss with credit risk/banks to obtain risk coverage.

Accounts receivables: 

  • Follow up and management of KEISA account receivables and minimizing overdues to reduce funding needs]
  • Preparation of the monthly reporting AR/ credit risk package


  • monitor proper documentation to ensure compliance to SOX policy

Back up/ ad hoc support for Wholesale Credit Manager 

Profile Requirements:

  • University degree (or equivalent) of Economics (finance oriented) with first working experience of min. 2 years in a financial environment
  • Very good knowledge of English, Italian is a plus
  • Good command of Microsoft office tools (Excel)
  • You have a passion for numbers and an analytical mindset
  • Experience with letters of credit is a plus
