Komatsu is the 2nd largest worldwide manufacturer of construction, mining  and utility equipment, and also delivers forest machines and logistics.

Construction Marketing Specialist

About the Role

The Construction Marketing Specialist plays a key role in driving business growth within KEISA’s Africa Construction division. This position is responsible for identifying business needs, developing effective marketing campaigns, and ensuring their successful implementation in collaboration with Regional Managers. The specialist supports the sales of Komatsu Construction and Utility equipment, helping to increase volume, market share, and customer satisfaction while aligning with the company’s Strategic Growth Plan.

Key responsibilities 

  • Collect and analyze market intelligence information.
  • Design and implement marketing campaigns tailored to regional needs.
  • Develop training materials, deliver webinars, and organize workshops for the Africa DB Network and KEISA field personnel.
  • Coordinate and monitor ongoing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Parts, Service, and Extended Warranty departments.
  • Conduct frequent field visits to distributors and customers to gather market information and provide solutions.
  • Represent Komatsu at customer sites and ensure smooth communication across all stakeholders.

Your Focus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).

Experience:

  • 3–4 years of experience in construction equipment (OEM or distributor).
  • Experience in distribution network development or working with distributors.
  • Experience in Africa (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong numerical literacy and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication and commercial acumen.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); French is a plus.
