Auto-Stop Control

How does Auto-Stop Control prevent from over-digging?

It stops the bucket edge on the design surface during boom, arm or bucket operation, and eliminates over-digging past the desired grade. Operators can safely rely on the system’s intervention when required: no more need to constantly check the monitor or to worry about re-work. Just relax and be productive.

Auto Grade Assist

How does the Auto Grade Assist make the perfect grade?

Even a new operator can now easily deliver that perfect grade! During a grading pass, the system automatically raises the boom and the bucket edge precisely traces the design surface. The operator just controls the desired grading speed with the left hand lever. This simplification of a previously quite complex manual operation boosts productivity and efficiency with unsurpassed accuracy.

Minimum Distance Control

What is Minimum Distance Control ?

Each bucket is easily calibrated to the excavator, so that the iMC system can always calculate the bucket’s nearest point or the “minimum distance” to the design model. Regardless of the bucket’s orientation, the system will always prevent it from damaging the surface. This gives operators confidence that, in the event of a mistake or when working on complex designs, the iMC system will always support them.

Auto Tilt Control

How does Auto Tilt Control work? Why does it make tilt operation easier?

Tilting bucket operation becomes automatic. The iMC 2.0 system intuitively adjusts the bucket to the design surface, and keeps the bucket edge exactly on the grade throughout the grading pass, with no need for manual adjustment. Delivering slopes and complex designs are now effortless!

Bucket Angle Hold

Can iMC 2.0 system maintain a constant bucket angle?

Enables the operator to automatically set the bucket grading or digging angle. The iMC 2.0 system maintains a constant bucket angle, removing the need for the operator to adjust manually, boosting ease of operation in final grading or trimming work.

Track Volume Progress

How to track volume progress with an iMC excavator?

Not only is Komatsu iMC excavator equipped with cutting-edge automation features, but it’s also a powerful data collector. While digging, the iMC excavator automatically logs the lowest point of its bucket edge. This data can be used to create an up-to-date terrain surface that reflects recent digging progress on jobsite. Connecting with Smart Construction Dashboard, you can easily visualize this progress and perform a simple volume calculation to measure how many cubic meters were moved each day.
