KEPO Strategic Analyst

Komatsu is the 2nd largest worldwide manufacturer of construction, mining  and utility equipment, and also delivers forest machines and logistics. 

Currently there are almost 300 people working at the Komatsu Europe Headquarters and Parts distribution center in Vilvoorde (Belgium): technical experts, sales profiles, logistic and administrative staff, etc. These people come from wide-ranging backgrounds and jobs, and share common characteristics such as perseverance, commitment, analytical skills, efficiency and trustworthiness: the very image of Komatsu machines.

KEPO Strategic Analyst

About the Role

The strategic analyst in KEPO is responsible for reporting and communicating KPI statisctics in order to identify problems and opportunities in our spare parts business and provide new models and solutions to support management to achieve business' goals. It is also the key person to analyse the ERP data in a structured way in order to allow management to take decisions.

Operational Excellence
Working with Purchasing department with responsibility of overviewing all suppliers and maintain general data to support the purchase engineers in their activities. Roll out data base clean up actions.

Master Data
Act as backup for Master data Coordinator

Key responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Report daily/monthly statistics on delivery performance KPI’s and share with KEPO, Product Support and CEO in order to measure and improve performance.
  • Provide metric estimations in order to detect the gaps and opportunities, supporting the improvement in the strategies
  • Responsible to report daily and monthly all the Warehouse KPI’s, related to employees and machine performance and calculating the operational costs, including employees, facilities and logistics (incoming and outgoing transport).
  • Work with Business Unit Controller to calculate the final sales and gross margin by distributor, including final sales adjustments.
  • Key person to report the Sales and SVM results and link the Hansei data to forecast the sales and SVM for coming months (for various KLTD reports).

  • Work with Product Support and BU Controller to prepare BP and quarterly forecasts for KEPO Sales, margin and SVM
  • Actively support KEPO Managers by providing ad hoc analysis with different reporting tools (Webi, Qlick, BO pivots, excel)
  • Responsible for KEPO to improve reporting methodology (macros, content, accuracy…)
  • Key person to assist on improvement of operations through reporting
  • Maintain and improve KEPO dashboards (include variance analysis)

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Collaborate with ICT engineers and external vendors to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Maintain traceability of all requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define non-functional requirements, including security, performance, scalability, and compliance.
  • Propose, validate, and integrate solutions within the existing ICT architecture.

Procurement

Support the Purchasing Engineers in their daily operations regarding to:

  • Maintenance of supplier info
  • Running several reports and take required actions (Origin, MOQ,OLT,…)

Operational Excellence

  • Carry out clean up actions on database
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to KEPO operations
  • System Optimization: work with IT and relevant stakeholders to ensure that spare parts management software and systems are properly implemented and aligned with business needs. 

Your Focus

  • Good communications skills, accuracy, logical, structured, organized, analytical, numeracy, detail oriented, self-control, stress resistant .
  • Reliable, open minded,flexible,assertive, pro-active,team player
  • Planning of own work in view of deadlines
  • Multi-lingual (English, Dutch mandatory, other European language are an asset)
  • Knowledge (general and Komatsu specific):
    - Good understanding of Komatsu's systems and procedures
    - Good understanding of the logical connection of data
    - Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems, Qlik, etc.).
  • Financial SAP background is a plus.
