Vilvoorde, May 2025 — Munich once again lived up to its reputation as the beating heart of the earthmoving machinery industry, as Bauma 2025 drew an impressive 600,000 visitors from over 200 countries.
“Bauma is the fair for Komatsu,” says Naser Memic Rendon, Deputy General Manager Marketing Communication at Komatsu Europe, “it’s first and foremost the place to be, where we connect with the people who drive our industry forward.”
The global stage of Bauma also provided the ideal backdrop for Komatsu to highlight their latest developments. “Bauma is also, of course, where we can best showcase our commitment to continuous innovation, groundbreaking machines, and technologies designed to meet both current and future industry demands," added Naser.

This year, our presence at Bauma was marked by the debut of 13 new machines, with the all-new PC220LCi-12 excavator taking the center stage, making its first appearance outside of Japan.
Building upon Komatsu's decade of experience, and millions of operating hours in integrated machine control technology, this excavator offers customers new, completely unique, iMC 3.0 features. In addition to setting new standards of productivity and efficiency, the machine benefits from a completely new cab design focused on maximising operator comfort, and seamless connectivity solutions make digital jobsite transformation even easier.
Another highlight were the new Dash 11 wheel loaders WA475-11 and WA485-11. These two new models are packed with unmatched power and fuel efficiency, enabled by a powerful, high-torque engine with an HMT transmission. The wheel loader also features significantly increased payload and bucket capacity, meeting EU Stage V emissions standards with a long-lasting diesel particulate filter.

“Our approach to developing the next generation of excavators and wheel loaders is deeply rooted in our ‘creating value together’ philosophy,” stated James Venerus, General Manager Product Marketing at Komatsu Europe. “We engaged directly with customers on their jobsites, carefully listening to their needs, and translating those requirements into tangible innovations at our factories. The overwhelming enthusiasm we witnessed from visitors at Bauma 2025 validates the importance of this customer-centric approach. We are excited to bring these products to market, delivering exceptional customer value.”
Komatsu outdoor demo show attracting thousands of visitors
Beyond the individual machines, Komatsu's presence at Bauma was distinguished by their dynamic demo shows.
Absolute eye catcher was of course the exciting outdoor demo show featuring the electrically powered PC7000-11E hydraulic mining excavator in backhoe configuration. “We can say that our PC7000-11E was the most visually impressive equipment at the trade fair!” Ronja Berg, Marketing & Communication Supervisor at Komatsu Europe, states, “The visitors definitely feel the same way – the crowds of people who constantly gather around it were the proof of this.”
A unique indoor demo show featuring fully electric lineup and charging solutions
Komatsu also differentiated themselves by hosting a unique indoor demo show featuring fully electric lineup and charging solutions. The format proved to be highly effective in communicating our strategic vision for sustainability, this is confirmed by the extremely positive response from the audience, which also highlights the growing importance of environmentally conscious solutions within the industry.
Visitors interacting with Komatsu digital solutions at Bauma 2025
Digitalisation was another key focus for Komatsu at Bauma, and our dedicated digitalisation booth attracted significant attention.
“Our customers are not solely focused on the yellow metal; they are actively seeking ways to enhance efficiency,” Bart Vingerhoets, Senior Commercial Manager at Komatsu Europe, explained. “Komatsu is committed to providing scalable and adaptable digital solutions and services to optimise machine performances and jobsite processes, we want to empower businesses of all sizes to optimise their performance through data-driven insights.”
For Komatsu, Bauma 2025 was a great example of “creating value together”. Naser concludes: “Bauma brings the Komatsu brand to life through the collaborative efforts of everyone involved, both visibly and behind the scenes. The preparation already started almost a year in advance, and since months ago, we have been working hard to train our distributor teams with the latest machine and technology releases. It was thanks to the dedication of the whole team that we were able to create such a unique platform where customers can connect with their local distributors, engage directly with Komatsu experts, and fully experience our brand.”
