Vilvoorde, September 2026 — Komatsu Europe announces the launch of the new PW75MR-5, a compact wheeled excavator developed to meet the growing demand for versatile, high-performing machines capable of operating efficiently on increasingly congested jobsites. With the PW75MR-5, customers no longer need to choose between compactness and capability.
Combining an operating weight of less than 7.5 tonnes with a machine width of just 2 metres, the PW75MR-5 delivers outstanding agility with ease of transport between jobsites. Standard 4-wheel steering, crab steering and a tiny turning radius enable operators to work confidently in environments where space is at a premium and quick, safe manoeuvrability is critical.
Beneath its distinctive, confident silhouette lies an all-new transmission and hydraulic concept. Independent travel hydraulics, advanced attachment integration, a 7-inch wide high-res touchscreen monitor, and a massive range of options allow the PW75MR-5 to deliver supreme versatility, exceptional productivity and operator confidence usually associated with much larger machines. Unrivalled stability, attachment performance and intuitive operation make it the natural solution whatever the application.

Designed around the operator
Operator comfort is central to the PW75MR-5’s newly designed cab, which features improved controls and an optimised driving layout for easier, more intuitive operation. A high-definition 7-inch touchscreen offers straightforward navigation and supports 26 languages, while the new slow-speed control enables smooth manoeuvring and precise machine positioning. Cruise control, a DAB+ radio with Bluetooth connectivity and an optional premium comfort seat further enhance the operator experience throughout the working day.
Engineered for versatility
The PW75MR-5 is engineered for versatility across a wide range of applications. An axle oscillation lock simplifies machine set-up, while axle differential locks provide excellent traction on muddy or challenging ground. A dedicated, independent travel-system pump maintains smooth, high-precision attachment control, even while the machine is moving. Optional Tool Control, integrated into both auxiliary hydraulic lines, makes it easy to manage multiple attachments, while preparation for tiltrotator installation further expands the machine’s capabilities.

Komatsu Europe is presenting the new PW75MR-5 at GaLaBau, showcasing the machine to professionals active in developing and maintaining urban green and open spaces.
